Silver Bullets #1
“Look Ty,” Jake murmured around the bite in his mouth. “You gotta live your life the only way you see fit. If it’s with another man, so be it. You only get one shot at this. You gotta live it out and proud of whom you are. That’s my humble opinion. I know I couldn’t hide in the shadows or deny who I am. That would be like saying, Cade is my big secret. He gives me that special loving that I can only get from a man. For me the decision was simple. I didn’t care anything about how the world saw two men together. I did care that my kids were okay with us because they are first and foremost in my life but the rest of the world could be damned.”

Tyler listened, taking in every word. Of course it was easier on Jake than it would be for Tyler. For Jake and Cade and their kids, there were five of them against the world. That was a foolish thought, Tyler realized almost immediately. Jake had almost lost his life at the hands of prejudice when a few ignorant people had cast their judgments on him. Easy wasn’t the way of life was it? Doing what is right for both parties was the right thing, not ease of the process. Everything that Tyler had accomplished in his life beginning with making the elite SEAL team, required hard work. There was no luck about it and definitely no easy way. Tyler was very happy that he’d asked Jake to lunch. Listening him talk about his struggle with coming out, really helped him to put things into perspective.

“Thanks Jake,” Tyler said, reclining back on the padded oak booth and patting his full belly. “You’ve helped me more than you know. It takes courage to live as an openly gay man. Of course, watching Cade deal with it over the last twenty years should have been a lesson to me.” Jake reached across the table and covered Tyler’s hand, meeting his eyes as he became very serious.

“It’s always a struggle, Ty. Whatever has meaning in life is a struggle. Whatever has a great pay off in the end requires hard work and a struggle. Hell, even people who hit the lottery begin a life of struggle. Think about having to sort out the real friends from the “lottery” friends or having family that you haven’t thought of in thirty years, suddenly showing up on your doorstep wanting to be family again just because you are worth several million bucks overnight. All of life is a struggle. It’s how you deal with the struggle that makes you the kind of man you are Tyler. And I know this; you are the best type of man. My Cade wouldn’t have stayed brothers with a man who was not the best type. All you can do now, is decide, do you want this man enough to go for a future with him or not? It’s really pretty basic.” He smiled and Tyler nodded, letting his hand slip away from Tyler’s.

“I have no idea if I want this man or not Jake. I thank you for talking to me so frankly about it. It does help to know that I’m not alone in my confusion, well, you’re not anymore, but it’s good to know that you were… oh hell, I’m babbling.” Jake laughed and finished off his beer.

“So, tell me about him,” he said. Tyler could see the glint of humor in Jake’s teasing expression. He couldn’t keep a straight face. He looked down at the table top where his beer rested and grinned, feeling like a school kid.

“He’s a lot younger, Jake.” Tyler looked up and Jake, though trying to hide his surprise, was grinning. He set his elbows on the table and rested his cheeks in both palms.

“Do tell,” Jake said, waggling his eyebrows as he gave Tyler his full attention.

Tyler threw him a dirty look. “You’re an asshole you know that?” Jake laughed out loud.

“So Cade tells me every day. Spill, I want all the horny details.”

Tyler rolled his eyes and he suddenly pictured Michael’s beautiful body, his cock long and thick standing away from his body as Tyler prepared to suck it.

“Oh shit, there really are horny details,” Jake said and Tyler knew that he watched the expression on his face. Tyler frowned.

“There may be Jake, but I’m not prepared to tell just yet. You’ll be the first to know when the time comes,” Tyler growled.

“Mmm, territorial much?” Jake laughed. “This is a side I’ve never seen in you Tyler. I think this ‘coming out’ is going to be worth its weight in gold.”

Silver Secrets #2
They found a table and placed their plates on it, and Thom immediately walked around to pull out Pepper's chair. She grinned up at him and daintily slid into the chair, humming happily as she surveyed the condiments on the table. Thom sat and watched her twirl a lazy Susan with three covered jars on it. One contained a combination of red onion, minced carrots, and tiny green peppers in some sort of a pickle, a second contained a pureed green pepper sauce and the last, a red sauce with the consistency of plum jam. Of course there was a bowl of jalapeño pickles and red pepper sauce at a hand's reach as well. A waiter arrived and brought a steaming basket of garlic naan, setting it on the table along with a yogurt concoction of cucumbers, carrots, and spices. He poured a white yogurt drink over ice cubes in tall milkshake glasses; it resembled the dugh he'd so loved in Afghanistan. The waiter excused himself.

Thom looked down at his plate, steam rising up toward him. It had a spicy array of Indian buffet goodness. Everything from mattar paneer to gharam masala and rice to lamb curry waited for him. Pepper's plate, across from him, was loaded with tandoori chicken, its brilliant red-orange color, a satisfying addition to the variety of stews and rice on her plate. He watched as she rubbed her palms together and moan in satisfaction as she stared at the steaming plate. She went for the condiments immediately, piling spoonfuls of the plum-like sauce and carrot mixture on her plate; next he watched her scoop up a piece of garlic naan and plunge it into the yogurt bowl bringing it to her mouth where she greedily bit into it, chewing, her eyes closing in what could only be ecstasy. Thom couldn't stop a smile as he dragged his gaze away from her face and picked up a fork, stabbing into his own curry.

Thom fished out a chunk of lamb and bit into the delightfully tender spiced meat. As he chewed, he awkwardly thought of how he would get the rice onto his fork. Thom had been accustomed to the Arabic way of eating this type of food with just a piece of the delicious flat bread naan, which was used to pick up pieces of meat and soak up the gravy of the stew accompanying it. He put down his fork and tore off a piece of naan from the basket, reaching onto his plate and picking up another piece of the curry between its folds and drawing it to his lips. He glanced up at Pepper and found her watching him like a bug under a magnifying glass. She had that same look of a scientist that she wore in the lab.

"Were you in the war?" Pepper suddenly blurted around a piece of tandoori, which she chewed daintily.

Fuck. My. Life. The last subject I ever want discussed! He put down his garlic bread, losing is appetite instantly. There was a pregnant pause before he answered. "I was in Afghanistan for one tour. Got back home in two thousand eight but I don't talk about the war," he finished awkwardly.

"I… I'm sorry, Thom. I know it's an uncomfortable subject with a lot of the guys and gals who were sent over. Our British boys came back… a lot of them scarred by what they saw."

Oh, no she didn't… she didn't just go there. Fuck! The key turned and the lockbox puked all of its crap right out into his mind, slamming into his gut as his thoughts wandered to a far off place.

Silver Ties #3
“Well, well. I was hoping you had a chance to view our scene earlier. I would have been disappointed if you hadn’t, Detective.” Teak stepped into Cassidy’s personal space and glanced down at his lips. He was close enough to taste, had Cassidy wanted to. Oh fuck, he wanted to…“Tell me, Detective, didn’t you get hard watching me take that sub? Didn’t you picture yourself tied to that table, being fucked in your mouth and your ass? Didn’t you want to taste my spunk when I blew it all over that sub’s face?” Teak looked up from Cassidy’s lips and stared into his eyes. Cassidy was breathing hard; his heart was beating wildly as he pictured Teak coming all over his face and he was harder than he’d ever been in his life.

“I… I…,” he hesitated.

“You know your true nature, Detective… Cassidy… you know it right down inside…, here.” He touched Cassidy’s chest with a finger, letting it slowly move from the middle to slide over one nipple and then, to his utter surprise, Zack took his nipple through the shirt and clamped down hard with his thumb and fore finger. Cassidy yelped and he felt a burst of precome leave his rock hard cock. He’d never felt pain like it before and he’d never felt as hard and horny as he was at this very moment.

Zack’s cock throbbed as he heard Cassidy’s sexy yelp. His own body hardened and as he let his hand stray across the tall blond’s chest to grasp the second nipple, repeating the action as he stared into the greenest eyes he’d ever seen. Cassidy opened his mouth and began to pant out loud. Jesus Christ! The man is magnificent and he doesn’t have a clue about it. Cassidy Ryan is going to be the hottest sub I think I’ve ever played with. Before he could stop himself, Zack backed Cassidy up against the wall of the corridor and leaned in close, covering his mouth with his own. Cassidy resisted at first, pushing both large palms against Zack’s pecs, between them, but as Zack leaned against him, touching him all along his front, Cassidy seemed to give up and relax into the exchange. Within moments, the kiss had turned incendiary.
